In North America, there is a rather large association gathered around the club NAFKA (North American Fighter Kite Association). This club was founded in December 1997 in Tacoma, WA and now more than 130 members all over the whole world belong to it . The main object of NAFKA is making more popular "line touch" and other kinds of games which can be played with Fighter Kites. Currently, most of the line touch competitive events take place in the USA, including the "world cup championship" which takes place, every year at Long Beach, Washington-USA. In addition there are many competitions held in the different states throughout the year. We'd like to make this great sport known as 'line touch' better known in Germany and Europe and give an understanding of it to everybody who's interested.

The word "fighter kite" should not be misunderstood. It is not at all an aggressive game.

On the contrary: it has a great fun factor for young and old alike. Flying fighter kites is a ton of FUN! It makes you feel good and most likely will put a big grin on your face each time you fly a fighter kite!.
